Lucky Mud performs on the Magnolia Stage (Mainstage) at the 2017 Will McLean Festival near Tampa.
A beautiful festival that gathers together singer/songwriters every March to celebrate the life of Will McLean, Florida's Troubadour.
It's been a busy year so far, with three shows at Roberts Hall and Camp Helen before our Roots & Wings III Music Festival on January 22nd at the Historic Roberts Hall, Lynn Haven, FL. This one day music festival featured 5 incredible Americana singer/songwriter concerts.
Lucky Mud was followed by young Matthew Fowler, a singer/songwriter from Orlando, Florida.
Brian Smalley , a magnetic dynamo of guitar and lyrics, gave way to the New 76ers with their unbeatable combination of familial harmony & vocals with great musicianship thrown in for good measure.
Finishing out the evenings performance was Paul Kamm & Eleanore MacDonald from Nevada City, California. This is probably the finest Folk/Americana singer/songwriter duo in the country today.
Before the concerts there were three one-hour workshops in songwriting, vocal/harmony and guitar/bass.
Lucky Mud is already preparing the schedule for Roots and Wings IV, next January, 2018.
Lucky Mud has a new CD called Lucky 13, and is now available through this website or at CD Baby - http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/luckymud11 Lucky 13
"This local husband-wife folk duo seems to always have new music up their sleeves. Their newest full-length album is a mix of folky, southern-inspired whimsical tunes like “Blackberry Jelly” and stories about people who didn’t quite do right (“Amber Alert”). But it’s the two ballads that steal the spotlight with emotional intimacy and authenticity." - Nikki Hedrick
" "Lucky Mud is from the deeper side of Folk Music. The couple have a soulful connection that is palpable." -EARBUZZ "
"This folk duo whips up 14 songs on the topics of love, loss and longing on their CD Into the Night. With a penchant for storytelling, the pair is out to revive a bare bones approach to traditional American folk music. Highlights include “All I Know”—as the duo’s harmonies lead the way through the chorus and lyrics—to the surprisingly dark “Who Am I?” - Nikki Hedrick/ Beachcomber Magazine 30A
